USCCB News Service

• Goal
  To provide on-line news service and information to those who have a serious and/or professional interest in the Catholic Church in China, the religious situation in China, or the general situation in China.
• Non-Goal
  To provide instant and immediate news items for the subscribers. This distribution shall generally reflect the salient and significant news development that might be of interest to the group in a timely fashion. To follow news items as they develop, you may wish to check out directly at the web sites in the listing of news sources.

  You can view and browse the USCCB news service archive at the USCCBnews site.
• Subscription
  If you wish to join the group, please click here to send an e-mail to the news group moderator. Here are some useful tidbits for customizing your news service at the news group site.
• Guidelines for Posting News
  • One descriptive subject line with news source abbreviation at the beginning. For example:
    BBC: Mainland's New Interpretation of One China
  • Detailed news source information at the beginning of the message content. For example, news agency, newspaper, web site, email address, or other comparable identification with publication or dissemination date. Main text of the news item should then follow. Visit the news archive to see examples.
  • Please do not send attachment in your submission.

  • You are mostly encouraged to submit news items not covered by major news media sources.
  • The news or information should be readily verifiable.
  • The news group moderator reserves the right to decide which items will be included.
